According to the Town of Milton bylaws, election signs can be installed on September 12, 2014. This is also the cut off day for nominations for election.
You can either send me an email or fill out the form on my website www.completecommunity.ca/contact-2/ and I will make sure you get a lawn sign.
In addition to this, many people have asked me about who is running and for what position. I will leave it up to you to do your research on each candidate but I am running for the Local/Regional Councillor position for Wards 1, 6, 7 & 8. You can check out my website www.completecommunity.ca for maps. If you are unsure, send me an email mike@mikecluett.ca and I can confirm if you’re on the voters list.
This election Milton residents will be voting for the following positions (assuming no one is acclaimed):
- Mayor
- Regional Chair
- Local Councillor (Each ward elects one)
- Regional Councillor (Wards 1, 6, 7 & 8 – Thats me. One is also elected for Wards 2, 3, 4 & 5)
- School Board Trustee (Public School Board/Catholic School Board etc)
During my travels around town knocking on doors, I’ve been asked on more than one occasion, for example, “I’m voting for Rob Duvall. Does that mean I can’t vote for you?”
The answer is you can vote for both of us. Rob is running for the Local Councillor for Ward 1, while I am running to sit on both Local and Regional councils.
Election day is less than 50 days away and I urge you to take some time and research the candidates that are running. You will be seeing more of us coming to your door asking for your support, so please ask us questions.
As always, you can find details of my plan here on www.completecommunity.ca but if you have specific questions you can call or email me anytime.
I look forward to your support on election day. I’ll see you at the doors.
