I was happy to be able to bring greetings on behalf of Regional Chair Gary Carr and everyone at Halton Region.
As I looked out to the crowd of Miltonians who joined us for the opening ceremonies I was overwhelmed by the support shown to our veterans that each and every Canada Day we honour and say Thank You!! Those words don’t seem enough as people like myself, Mayor Krantz, our MP Lisa Raitt and other elected officials are able to do the things we do because of freedom. Freedom that was earned by the sacrifices of our veterans and those who had fallen. Thank you doesn’t seem to be enough.
