Its getting close to election time, as you can tell by many of the comments on my blog the last few weeks. Who is going to be running where and for what positions seems to be a hot topic.
With a new ward system in place, possible date change of the election and a number of other issues coming to the surface many people will be paying attention to the upcoming campaigns. Nominations open in January for the open positions as there looks to be quite a few changes coming for Milton Town Council.
This week Mayor Gord Krantz answered the question in an article by Melanie Hennessey of the Milton Canadian Champion.
Im hoping that you run for council Mike. Ive been following your blog for sometime and you are a breath of fresh air. You break things down for us and show us what your opinions are.

Im supporting Gord. He hasnt done a horrible job running this town and hes taken a stand and voted against these high tax increase budgets. Im scared to see what will happen if someone comes in with no experience to be mayor.

I came back awhile ago from the New Years Levee and I had the opportunity to speak with a few people. Many feel its a foregone conclusion that Mike will be running for council and there are a few people who currently sit around that table who are scared!
There is going to be a whirlwind of people filing on Monday morning at town hall.
So its nomination day. I heard a few newbies filed today to run and Im waiting to hear if you are one of them.
Like the other people mentioned on the blog we want you to run Mike. There needs to be some new people on council with some leadership skills.
