On an unrelated note, I suggest all new readers to Mike Cluett’s Milton blog dig through the archives into late last year to read some of Mike’s posts during the Municipal Election campaign and immediately afterwards. Wow, the writing and insight into not only Mike’s hectic life during that time, but the hard work it takes to run a campaign and all the emotions that go with it were just amazing.
I loved hearing about Mike going door to door in the final days leading up to election day, where and with who he chose to spend election night, and his thoughts and emotions after the results had come in. It was intresting to hear ‘the other side’ of an election – you realize that politicians (elected or running) are human too.
Great work Mike. Keep the website and blog going and best of luck should you run again next time. I think our booming town could use a councillor such as yourself who’s down to earth, cares about family, and cares about Milton. Thanks for keeping everyone abreast of the political climate in town through this site. Milton is a great place because of people like you.
