Ward 6 Milton Makeover Day April 15th

Many thanks goes to Kim (you’ll see her in the video) for taking the leadership role and organizing the Milton Makeover Day for Ward 6.  Friday morning was definately a chilly one, but it didnt cool off the desire to clean up our parks and other areas.  More thanks goes to Fred and Dimitri for braving the cold as well.  Kim mentioned there were some further recruits as they moved south to Louis St Laurent & Ferguson area.  We forgot their names, so if youre reading this THANK YOU!!!

This was Milton’s 7th annual Makeover day with this year over 60 people participating.

Milton Today TV was nice enough to come out as well and you can check out their coverage on the video below.

Grow Milton Hospital Rally Tomorrow @ Town Hall

Just a quick reminder that the Grow Milton Hospital rally is going to be held tomorrow at Victoria Park by Milton Town Hall starting at 10AM.  The weather doesnt look like its going to cooperate with us, but we’ll play that by ear.  Dress for the weather and we should’nt be too long.

We have one of the hospital representatives speaking and Milton’s own Scott Fox will be hosting the event.  This event will be the culmination of many weeks of preparation and collecting of signatures by over 20 Milton area businesses.

On the following Monday, we will be heading down to Queen’s Park to watch Halton MPP Ted Chudleigh deliver the petition to the government and Premier Dalton McGuinty to let them know that The Time Is NOW for our hospital expansion.

If you have any questions, please let me know mike@mikecluett.ca and I hope to see you all tomorrow morning.

The Oakville Milton Humane Society is also getting ready for this years Milton Mutt Strutt to be held at the Milton Fairgrounds on Sunday May 1st, 2011.

Here is a link to their Facebook Group.

It event starts at 11AM (the walk begins at NOON) and goes until 3pm.  There will be prizes for the dogs and their owners and awards for the highest pledges (adult, child & team) so get the forms and sign some people up!

There are also going to be some special guests attending so stay tuned for that.  Last years event was quite successful and raised a fair amount of money.  This is the 2nd annual event and they are looking to blow last years attendance and funds out of the water.  The pledge form is available on the Facebook page or you can find it below … click and start collecting.

Hope to see you there as I had a blast last year.
