Miracle On Main Street December 17th

Just an update on the Miracle on Main coming up on Monday December 17th being held at Troys Diner downtown.

Due to a schedule conflict, Jimmy Hart wont be able to attend the event as was recently posted. We’re hoping the Mouth of the South will be able to attend future events but he regrets that he cant make it. Next time Jimmy !!! 🙂

Still there are lots of reasons to come down in support of the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation Miracle on Main Monday morning at 6am, at Troys Diner. There will be lots for the kids to do…games, magicians, Johnny Bower, Walter Gretzky, Tiger Ali Singh as well as Jennifer Valentyne from Breakfast Television.

I hope to see everyone there…and please bring an unwrapped toy for the toy drive.

Monday December 17th is going to be a great day.  Not only is it my birthday (cheap plug) but its going to be the day to be at Troy’s Diner for Miracle on Main Street.

The Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation presents this great family event at LIVE in downtown Milton at 295 Main Street E.

The list of the celebrities is going to knock everyone socks off and they include appearances by:

– Tiger Jeet Singh & Tiger Ali Singh – Milton Walk of Fame Members and international superstars!

– Canada’s Most Famous Hockey Dad Walter Gretzky,

– Stanley Cup Champion Johnny Bower,

– Toronto Rock member Garrett Billings…

Admittance is free and all we ask is that you bring an unwrapped toy for the toy drive.  There will be games, amusement rides and lots of things to keep everyone busy.  Breakfast Television BT will be there with Jennifer Valentyne to host this great event.

It all starts at 6AM and goes to 9AM….so be there early to take part in this annual tradition.  Over the last few years the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in toys to support Sick Kids Hospital, Salvation Army, McMaster Childrens Hospital and Halton Womens Place.  This year looks to be the biggest yet.

For more information please go to www.miracleonmain.ca on how you can support the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation to help make this Christmas a happy one for so many children.

Troy’s Toy Drive

We spent Saturday morning walking up and down Main Street in Milton for their 2nd annual Tots on Parade Halloween Party for kids.  Hundreds of the little ones lined the streets in the day light to get treats from store owners courtesy of the Milton DBIA.  It was a fun time and the kids left with bags full of candy and smiles across their face.  It almost felt like Christmas.

For those who know me well, I normally don’t get into the Christmas spirit until much later in the year, much to the shagrin of my wife (who would put up decorations NOW if she had the chance) but this year is a bit different.  While shopping later on with the family, my trusty phone started buzzing away.  It was a message from Troy Newton of Troy’s Diner in Milton.  When Troy calls … you answer!

Troy is now planning this years Troy’s Toy Drive scheduled for December 20, 2010 at his location at Best Western Milton (401 and 25) and this year looks to top last years monumental success.  Each year during this campaign, they raise close to $30,000 in toys for the Salvation Army, Sick Kids Hospital and Halton Women’s Place and Troy wants to beat that number … BIG TIME.

You know an event like this will bring out big time names in our community and there are two no bigger names than Tiger Jeet Singh and Tiger Ali Singh.  You’ll remember the Tigers as just this past summer they put on the first of many Tigerfest live wrestling action during the Downtown Milton Street festival raising over $35,000 for the Milton District Hospital.  Last year the most famous hockey dad in the world (and a guy with the biggest heart in the world) Walter Gretzky was there, and this year it looks like there will be lots of famous names helping out that day and I have the flyer up at the bottom of this post.

If you want to send a donation, make it payable to “Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation, c/o Troy’s Toy Drive”and drop it off and either of the Diners locations on or before the 18th of December.  Breakfast Television will once again make it out to cover this event on the 20th with Jennifer Valentyne hosting the live eye coverage.

Let’s help show the world that Milton is the best place in the world and support Troy’s Toy Drive on December 20th, head on down to the Best Western location from 6AM to 12PM and maybe YOU can be on TV.

You can also get more details as well as video from last years event at Milton Search.com

Post a comment telling Troy, the Tigers and everyone in Milton that you will be there!!!

Breakfast Television at Troy's Diner

If youve been in Milton, oh lets say 10 seconds or longer, you know of Troy and Troy’s Diner.

Troy is a true example of someone who gives back to the community with his sponsorship of numerous town events.  He’s got a heart of gold.

Today Breakfast Television visited his location at the Best Western in Milton to shore up support for his Salvation Army campaign.  Milton noteables were there including Milton Walk of Fame members Tiger Jeet Singh and Tiger Ali Singh as well as the incomperable Walter Gretzky.

Here is the link for BT’s coverage of the event.  I couldnt make it there this morning but it was very well attended.  Make sure you check out www.troysdiner.com for more information on his locations and is continued support of our local community.
