A native of Southern Ontario, Mike Cluett has been a resident of Milton for over 13 years. He was first elected to Milton Town Council in 2010 as the choice of almost 80% of the voters. In 2014, Mike was overwhelmingly elected to the office of Local & Regional Councillor to represent the wards of 1,6,7 & 8.
Mike, his wife Pat, son Anthony and daughter Miranda enjoy the friendly atmosphere, downtown core and local events that define this great community.
An active member of the Milton community, Mike Cluett is a member of the Board of Directors & Fundraising Cabinet for United Way of Milton, Board member for Milton Community Resource Centre (MCRC) and volunteers actively for the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation (Miracle on Main St) He has also been involved in his neighbourhood by working with community residents on safety issues such as residential speeding, parking and stop signs.
As a member of Council he is an advocate for accountability and delivering efficient, cost-effective services and known for being informed, engaged and accessible to residents.
Mike Cluett currently on a number of committees both at the Town and Region of Halton including sitting on various committees such as Older Adult Advisory Committee, Waste Management Site Advisory Committee, Halton Community Housing Board and serves as Vice Chair of the Health & Social Services Standing Committee.
