Mike with his son Anthony, wife Pat and daughter Miranda

On January 11th, Mike Cluett visited Milton Town Hall and filed his nomination papers for the upcoming municipal election for Ward 6.

A native of Brampton, Ontario, Mike Cluett moved to Milton in 2003 where he now lives with his wife Pat, son Anthony and daughter Miranda.

They were drawn to Milton as many others were. Milton is a wonderful community with a warm hospitable atmosphere, quality downtown core and a wonderful vision for the future.

Mike Cluett is currently a commercial account manager for a national lawncare company.  Throughout his career, Mike has focused both on sales and finance which helps in promotion but also keeps an eye on the bottom line.

Mike Cluett was appointed to Milton’s 150th Anniversary Committee in 2006. This committee was set up to promote Milton’s landmark achievement of 150 years.

Mike is also a member of the Milton Community Policing Committee who’s purpose is to help promote a healthy and safe community and to provide residents and businesses an avenue to communicate their concerns.   Mike has also been active in his neighbourhood by working with community residents on safety issues such as residential speeding, parking and stop signs and has sat on the the school council for Hawthorne Village PS.

It is his passion for Milton and for our children’s future that motivated Mike to seek the position of local councillor for Milton in 2006 where he came close to defeating two long term incumbents by only 92 votes.  It is that same passion that drove him to run for Ward 6 in 2010.
