New Look to the Blog

Trying some new things every now and then so if it looks like somethings been changed….youre right! It has. Let me know what you think. I’ll be trying to make it look a bit better so it might change some more over the next little while.

Im trying to incorporate this blog into my website so it will be easier to go to instead of this blog. As with everything…a work in progress.

Speaking of a work in progress, the Amazing Race is coming up next month as well. It looks like the teams are now set in place and they wont be accepting any new applicants…BUT we will need lots of people to come out and cheer the teams on.

This race has been many months in the making, and its going to be a fitting end to the 150th Anniversary celebrations. Go to and click on the 150th logo for more information.

As well, one of the top rated schools (Hawthorne Village Public School) will be having its “WELCOME BACK FUN FAIR” on September 29th starting at 11am. Theres going to be tons of stuff going on so even if you dont have kids in the school…come on by.

    Hi Mike,

I love the new look! I’ve always been fond of the WordPress templates and actually use them myself on my site ( for the blog/news/home & garden sections….

Nice colour scheme and theme as well – very slick and clean.

I wanted to participate in the Amazing Race October 13th, but my company ( is taking part in ‘Troy Fest’, organized obviously by Troy of Troy’s Diner. It’s taking place across the street from Troy’s Diner and will feature horse and buggy rides, face painting, Troy’s hot dog cart, free pumpkin carving, halloween candy and pumpkins for sale, penny raffles and a draw for a Bass Pro NASCAR jacket and Wendel Clark picture.

All proceeds are going to Milton District Hospital. It should be a great time, so to race participants or attendees: please make sure to stop by!

Mike – I also invite you to participate in’s weekly football pool. You can view the Milton Pigskin Prognosticator’s picks at – scroll down or go into the ‘sports’ category and test your NFL knowledge on this week’s games vs. the spread.

Cheers, and have a great Fall Fair weekend!
